Interior Home of the Future FINAL POSTER

Interior Home of the Future

Using the same advertising poster theme for the solar company and the same fonts and logo i was able to re create an image of a home in the future as a reflection of what i had talked about in my synopsis. The image is a capture from in my house, i tried to find the area in the house which looked most modern and do a contemporary photo of that spot. I then edited the image so that the view out the window was of something completely different, i.e. dead tree and a broken fence, i then put a subtle red filter over it to make it seem like outside of the home was quite gaunt as i described. i then adjusted the colour and contrast etc of the picture so that it seemed very clean and modern. I worked in the logo and slogan so it related to the exterior poster and my synopsis.

Exterior Poster

This is my representation of the 'home of the future' exterior, as outlined in my synopsis the exterior of the houses is a wasteland like scene so i used an image i took and edited it to look like a dilapidated backyard. I then followed on with my idea that solar power would run our houses as the main source of power and made the image out to look like an advertisement for a solar power company. I believe i achieved this through the use of text, a slogan and a brand logo 'sustain-solar'.

Home of the Future Synopsis

SYNOPSIS

In the future we will be spending our lives indoors. The outside conditions are harsh and inhospitable. Human negligence has cause global warming to produce its worst and most vicious effects such as floods, tropical storms, loss of biodiversity and heat waves. Luckily, jumps in science and technology have allowed people to eat, live and work in the home permanently. Houses will all have interior greenhouses for food and the houses will be powered by more modern solar power systems that are cheaper and more effective. Houses are built from stronger, more structural materials such as metal and strong plastics which are able to withstand the elements in the future. There is little to no life/ growth outside of these self sufficient homes, transportation from home to home is all done underground. The biggest shifts in machinery will be stronger vehicles for city to city transportation and the economical solar power systems that will allow each home to be self sufficient.
